State Policy Updates at AcademyHealth's National Health Policy Conference

Register today for AcademyHealth’s National Health Policy Conference (NHPC), February 3-4 in Washington, D.C. The 2014 meeting will examine health policy priorities and critical issues with insider perspectives from top health policy experts.

The 2014 agenda provides more learning and networking opportunities than ever, as the program has been expanded to include two full days of meeting content. Featuring new content and perspectives, the conference will tackle ACA implementation head-on with feedback from state government officials, insight from the administration, and viewpoints from the private sector.

State-related sessions include:

  • Update on State Innovation Models
  • Delivery System Transformation: What's New in Community, Regional and State Efforts
  • Health Insurance Exchanges: Early Experiences with Implementation

The State Health Research and Policy (SHRP) Interest Group will also be hosting its annual Policy Breakfast on Tuesday, February 4 in conjunction with NHPC. This year’s breakfast, “State Innovations for Integrating Medicaid and Exchanges,” will examine the opportunities that states have to innovate as they work towards a more integrated coverage strategy. Beginning with an overview of the issues and some potential solutions, the session will feature the experiences of Maryland and Arkansas - states that have creatively developed coverage options for their populations. Due to the meeting capacity, registration for the SHRP Interest Group Breakfast is closed. If you would like to be placed on a wait list for the breakfast, email sci@academyhealth.org.
