The State We’re In: National Health Policy Conference Focuses on State Policy Priorities

The National Health Policy Conference (NHPC), February 13-14 in Washington, D.C., examines the complex reality of health care in America, with expert discussion on the policy priorities for 2012. Among them are the growing opportunities and challenges for states with the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) emphasis their roles as health care providers, purchasers, and market regulators. Call for Abstracts: State Health Research and Policy (SHRP) Interest Group Meeting

The SHRP Interest Group is seeking papers on state-level research and policy developments regarding coverage and access, the organization and delivery of care, and the challenges of financing and payment reform – all with an emphasis on the unique challenges of working within a state policy and political environment. Submit your work by February 15 to be considered for presentation at the meeting, June 23 in Orlando.
