Annual Research Meeting Registration Now Open

The AcademyHealth 2010 Annual Research Meeting (ARM), June 27-29 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, offers a rich and exciting slate of invited and peer-reviewed research sessions, methods training workshops, and networking opportunities. Join more than 2,200 researchers, practitioners, and policy analysts to examine the critical challenges in health care. Early registration discounts are available. State Health Research and Policy Interest Group Annual Meeting
Registration Now Open

AcademyHealth’s Interest Groups provide a forum for members to share information, network with their peers, and learn more about a topic. The State Health Research and Policy Interest Group will be hosting its annual meeting in conjunction with AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting in Boston. The meeting, June 26 from 9:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., will feature research presentations and policy discussions. Register online at www.academyhealth.org/arm/register.

10 Scholarships Available for Students to Attend ARM & Public Health Interest Group Meeting
Application Deadline: March 15, 2010

Students who demonstrate potential to contribute to the field of PHSR through promising research are eligible to receive one of 10 scholarships from the PHSR Interest Group. The scholarships offer students funds to attend AcademyHealth's Annual Research Meeting and the PHSR Interest Group Annual meeting, as well as the opportunity to present their work at the Interest Group meeting.

Article of the Year Award – Nominate an Outstanding Public Health Article from 2009
Nomination Deadline: March 15, 2010

The Public Health Systems Research Article of the Year Award recognizes the best scientific work produced and published in 2009. The awardee will receive complimentary registration for both the PHSR Interest Group Annual Meeting and AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting, travel assistance, and a $1,000 cash award. Nominations must include the name and contact information for both the nominator and nominee and a copy of the article(s). Submit by e-mail to phsr@academyhealth.org. (Self-nominations are accepted.)

Alice S. Hersh Student Scholarships Available to Attend ARM
Application Deadline: March 15, 2010

The Alice S. Hersh Student Scholarship provides four free registrations to attend AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting (ARM). The scholarship is designed to encourage professional and educational development in health services research and policy among student members. Interested students must complete an application and submit an essay outlining how attendance at the ARM will assist in their educational and professional pursuits in health services research and policy.

Public Health Methods Webinar Series looks at Case Studies and Multilevel Modeling
March 11 and 25, 2010

Enhance your methodological toolkit by participating in a live webinar series on methods for public health research. The series will focus on two important methods in public health and HSR—case studies and multilevel modeling. Due to generous support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, registration has been discounted to enable a broader participation from the public health and public health systems research (PHSR) community.
