SCI’s Coverage Matrix Updated

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s State Coverage Initiatives (SCI) program, administered by AcademyHealth, recently added new resources to its Web site,, to help states better navigate options for expanding health insurance coverage. Visit the Web site today to learn more about SCI and how its resources can help your state expand coverage.

Last year, SCI launched the Coverage Matrix, a tool that provides at-a-glance comparisons, in-depth descriptions of coverage strategies, and state specific pages that capture state coverage expansions. New information on the updated state pages includes sources of health insurance coverage and an overview of public coverage, resources on the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, and a new coverage strategy called Dependent Coverage that tracks state efforts to insure young adults.

SCI is always looking for ways to improve the Coverage Matrix and make it a more powerful resource for state officials. Users are invited to email with questions or comments.
