RWJF Names New Deputy Director for State Coverage Initiatives Program

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has named Isabel Friedenzohn as the new deputy director of the State Coverage Initiatives (SCI) program. As a member of the SCI team for six years, Isabel has seen the program evolve and refine its technical assistance capabilities. During her tenure at SCI, she has been grant coordinator for the program and also the monitor for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) State Planning Grant contract at AcademyHealth, which is coming to a close later this year. She has been intimately involved in writing five State of the States publications and was the managing editor for the two most recent issues. Most recently, Isabel has been working closely with Enrique Martinez-Vidal, the SCI Director, on implementing the Coverage Institute, SCI’s new technical assistance offering.

Isabel joined AcademyHealth in October 2001 after receiving her Master's of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
