This document roughly outlines the engagement plan being proposed by the Department of Human Services to engage Minnesotans in discussions about the future of health care in Minnesota and to make residents more informed consumers.

The Departments of Health, Commerce, and Human Services received more than 70 pages of comments from a wide range of stakeholders regarding establishing an essential benefit set as part of health care reform.

Rhode Island's Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) released an RFP last Friday for a project management office for enhancements to its Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and for development and implementation of EOHHS/Medicaid components of the new Health Insurance Exchange/Integrated Eligibility System.

The Minnesota Health Insurance Exchange Advisory Task Force approved its first set of formal recommendations on January 18, 2012.

This New York State status report was presented to the state's Exchange Planning Group. The report highlights a list of policy reports due in April 2012, and shows that the state recently asked HHS for $48.5 million in additional Level One grants.

Arizona's RFP for a vendor to build an online eligibility and enrollment system for a state exchange (the state has not passed exchange establishing legislation).

Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn, has called on health care providers to submit innovative coordinated care proposals that feature preventative medicine, new technologies, community outreach, and enhanced follow up treatment to improve the Illinois Medicaid program andpatient outcomes.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has denied most of Utah's Section1115 Medicaid waiver request while indicating it supports the state's plan to convert its Medicaid contracts in the state to an accountable care organization (ACO) model.
