In 2003, Virginia received HRSA State Planning Grant funds to:
- Gather important information about its uninsured population;
- Solicit stakeholder input, especially from small employers about the feasibility of various models and their strategies for increasing health care coverage; and
- Make recommendations to the Governor and the Secretary of Health and Human Resources on the best strategies for reducing the state's uninsured population.
Our hands-on technical assistance is confidential, non-partisan, and supported by RWJF, so there is no cost to the state.
